Underlying this, Addicus is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Chris individually is a fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
This means that we are qualified chartered certified accountants who complete a minimum of three years in-depth training, undertake continuing professional development to keep our knowledge and skills up-to-date, are bound by ACCA’s Code of Ethics and are subject to their disciplinary procedure. We hold a practicing certificate and professional indemnity insurance and we are subject to review as part of ACCA’s Practice Assurance scheme, demonstrating our commitment to quality assurance.

Innovation
Amazingly Addicus were one of the first small practices to embrace computers, ditching hand-written ledgers many, many years ago! Today we continue to examine, assess and integrate some of the most up to date technologies into the business to help us deliver our innovative customer experience.
While we love technology we aren’t enslaved by it. We actually understand the bookkeeping, accounting and payroll principles that underly the technology in use, so we can explain, sense-check and challenge with confidence.
We use a variety of software so we don’t dictate to you what software you must use. If you’re happy with what you have, we aren’t going to make you change to it if you join us. If you want some software advice, then we’re happy to offer it! We may even be able to offer a better price than going direct.

At Addicus we understand you’re unique, so unlike many other tax advisors and accountants we come to you with no pre-conceived ideas and tailor our services around your needs.
Our initial meeting is always free and without obligation. We get to learn about your needs and aspirations, and see how Addicus can provide you with the service and support you need.

Then we provide you with a proposal for working together with a fee quote. If we both like each other then the next step is a more formal engagement.
If you’re considering switching accountants, our primary concern is to make the switch as easy and as seamless as possible.
Having chosen to become an Addicus client we will send you a ‘letter of engagement’. This confirms in detail the work we are to undertake on your behalf, who will be handling your affairs and the fees to be charged (either as a fixed fee, retainer or on a time and disbursements basis).
We are required by law to obtain proof of your identity; this is a process which will be explained to you fully upon engagement but have systems that make this as painless as possible.
